Published Today: Two by Brennan, One by MoonCat — 2 June 2021

The latest books from Dockyard Press are published today, and they’re all very different from one another, even though two are by the same author...

There’s Belfast author Gerard Brennan’s second Shannon McNulty crime novel, Drag. And there’s a reissue of his first novel, Fireproof, a unique hybrid of urban fantasy and crime thriller.

And there’s Poetry: Not Optional, a meditative memoir in verse by American poet and mystic Lisa MoonCat, charting her journey from childhood to adulthood and beyond.

For the Workers — 4 April 2020

by Lisa MoonCat

The 4th Industrial Revolution will not be televised. It will be archived. Brought to life in a montage of snapshots and 3 second videos. We are suddenly aware of our numbers. Aware of our unsustainable needs. Nature dies off before it expands. Growth is as inevitable as death. Exponential increase eventually trips and falls off a cliff. Hard work gratifies with quality, when quantity is no longer the goal.

Goddess in the Lightning — 23 December 2019

by Lisa MoonCat

Thunder Rolls and shakes the roof. I cried out to the Goddess, Trust Is So Hard!

Then don't. She said. I'll carry you anyway.

Lightning cracked. I saw her silhouette. Giant Spider crouching over my house.

Your tears are my worship. Your body has been my temple. You are me as much as I am You.
